[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index] [Summary-Talk] Downloading logs
Jason: Having used Summary now at the 'home' for our 5 websites for 6 months now, I wanted to see what it could do with the work website logs, which are kept, up to three months, at RapidSites, in .gz format. Summarry ate them up, and provided us 10x the information on what what really happening than Rapidsite's analog2.11/Unix. I'm now trying to set up Summary to download the daily log, which is availible to us at http://x.x.x.x/stats/access_log. I set up log downloading yesterday, pointed it at that, and voila!, live stat reporting for the once an hour we have summary run (yeah, I know, we are stat freaks). I went to check it this morning, and now Summary is giving an error for the DL: Downloading log file: 'http://x.x.x.x/stats/access_log' /process for 192.169\8.1.1 OK! Server error. Download Failed: Server Error. On 'http://x.x.x.x/stats/access_log' Incremental processing etc. through if you type in http://x.x.x.x/stats/access_log in a web browser, the logs show fine... (from 12 am on.) Any thoughts on what may be happening? Side note: the logs are availible to us also as the .gz files at http://x.x.x.x/stats/old_access_log.2003Aug.gz Would we have to reconfigure the sub report each month to grab that month's file? ------------- Go to <http://summary.net/list.html> to update subscription info.
