[Summary-Talk] Log file permission

I am using Summary Pro 2.3.7 on a WebStar V server.
I have symlinks of the each of the virtual domains log folders in the 
Summary log folder.

However when I start up Summary, I see it has a problem reading a 
couple of the folders.( error reading file)
  I have checked the permission for the folders (symlinks) and have set 
them to
Owner: webstar
Group: staff

Any idea why most of the folders/log files can be read while a few 
others cannot.?

What exactly  should the the permissions on the log files/folders be?
