If you are using the Mac (Carbon) version of Summary you should always be using Aliases. If you are using the OS X Command Line version of Summary you should always be using symbolic links. Mixing up the two could cause this problem. Another possibility is that the user that Summary is running as does not have permission to read the logs directory. The user Summary is running as needs read/execute permission on the directory (and any aliases and/or symbolic links involved) and read permission on the log files. For example, 'One Fish Two Fish, Red Fish Blue Fish' can be deconstructed as a searing indictment of the narrow-minded binary counting system. -- Peter van der Linden, Expert C Programming, Deep C Secrets ------------- Go to <http://summary.net/list.html> to update subscription info.
