If you run in incremental mode you can get reports over all time and Summary will only read the recent log files. But if you only want reports on the last month or two, leaving the logs in will slow things down somewhat. >3. If you are using Linux/Sun/FreeBSD there are many different log archiving utilities that will do this. Logrotate is commonly used and comes with most distributions. Some people seem to like cronolog <http://www.cronolog.org/> and there are many others. On other platforms there are other similar programs. For example, 'One Fish Two Fish, Red Fish Blue Fish' can be deconstructed as a searing indictment of the narrow-minded binary counting system. -- Peter van der Linden, Expert C Programming, Deep C Secrets ------------- Go to <http://summary.net/list.html> to update subscription info.
