[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index] [Summary-Talk] processing anomoly
Howdy Gang! We're running summary 2.3.11 on Debian 3.0, incremental mode. Yesterday, I noticed that summary had not processed all of our logs from the day before. It had all of the log files it needed, but it hadn't processed anything after 07:42 am for the day before. Checking through the logs, we found nothing. Today, it had progressed until 09:37 pm from the day before. So, another 14 hours or so of logs had been crunched, but still not everything that should have been. Nothing erroneous in the logs. After that, for fun, I manually processed the logs (in incremental mode still). Upon completion, stats had moved forward another 15 or so hours, but still not everything up until when I had started processing. Nothing funny in the logs. Strange, eh? After processing had completed, I manually ran them again, and slowly but surely received this in the logs: Crunched 48,640 entries, 4,864 entries/sec summary: snaz/StrTable.cpp:860: void StringTable::Ref(long unsigned int): Assertion `ref_byte' failed. One of our processes exited abnormally! Restarting summary resulted in a corrupt database. Any thoughts?
