Summary SP Lite and Summary SP are the same. Both support a database of
up to about 2 Gig. This is a limitation imposed by 32 bit processors. 32
bit pointers allow you to access 4 Gig of memory. Of that 1 Gig is
reserved for the operating system and 1 Gig gets used for program code
and temporary memory, leaving 2 Gig for the database.

When Apple gets around to supporting 64 bit programs on the G5, or when
AMD 64 bit processors get a bit more popular, we will start thinking
about developing a 64 bit version of Summary to support larger databases.

With a little adjustment of the appropriate settings, as discussed in the
memory FAQ, almost everyone can get Summary's database size down enough
that they won't even need to worry about the 600-750 Meg limit in Summary
(basic) and Plus. This also speeds up processing a little.

Dr. Seuss books . . . can be read and enjoyed on several levels. For
example, 'One Fish Two Fish, Red Fish Blue Fish' can be deconstructed
as a searing indictment of the narrow-minded binary counting system.
