This is most likely happening because some other names in the same second 
level domain are occurring. For example there might be sales.domain.com 
or something similar, which would cause domain.com to appear in the 
referring domains report.

It is very simple to see which host names are triggering this, simply 
click on the domain name in the referring domains report and Summary will 
drill down to the specific referrers, from which you can see the host 
names.

Each host name that is considered local must be listed in "other local 
domains".
