[Summary-Talk] Outgrown

Hi,

I believe we've outgrown our current version of summary again. What are
the performance benefits to upgrading to Summary SP 2.5? Specifically,
here's my problem:

After generating 194 subreports for a website that sees 30.x million
accesses (page hits + downloads) per month, the "database" has grown to
1.35GB in size. I can no longer write static reports without much
finessing. Also, when I start summary it starts reading the database,
but never attaches the child process to port 8000, so I have to blow the
database away and restore from backup before I can start testing again.
Each time I have to do this it takes 4 hours to complete.

I have 1GB RAM and lots of disk space.

Will 2.5 help because it's more efficient, or is it time to start
thinking of a new stats system with a SQL backend?

Thanks!
