The first place to look is the Log Files report, near the bottom left on 
the Report Menu.

Check to see if the older log files are listed at all, if they have 
reasonable starting and ending dates, if they have many parse errors, or 
are mostly filtered or not in any report. What you see there will suggest 
the next thing you will need to look at.
