You can only tell them apart if you have setup the link in your AdWords listing correctly. If the URL you use there is exactly the same as one that a "regular" visitor would use then there isn't any way to consistently tell them apart. Fortunately, it is simple to set the URL you use at AdWords to something that can be easily tracked. I suggest adding a query string to the end of the URL you use at AdWords, something line src=Google. So, for example, if you are sending people to <http://summary.net/>, you would tell Google to send them to <http://summary.net/?src=Google> instead. Then you can use the Tracking Tags feature <http://summary.net/manual/configuration.html#TrackTag>, available in Summary Plus, SP Lite, and SP, to get information about visitors coming from your AdWords ad. For example, 'One Fish Two Fish, Red Fish Blue Fish' can be deconstructed as a searing indictment of the narrow-minded binary counting system. -- Peter van der Linden, Expert C Programming, Deep C Secrets ------------- Go to <http://summary.net/list.html> to update subscription info.
