RE: [Summary-Talk] New Feature in 2.5.2

So, It'll Ask you about the date range you want to keep or you want to
erase
from the database ?
What'll happen when the summary parses the logs again ?

This isn't very well explained anywhere currently. Hopefully this will
make it into the manual soon. In the mean time:

In Summary Plus, SP Lite, and SP, when you are in incremental mode, on
the Tools configuration page there is a new option, "Prune the Database".
This feature expires records from the database once, in much the same way
that various settings on the Memory configuration page can be set to
expire records continuously.

This is useful when you don't need to expire records continuously, but
after running for many months in incremental mode have started to fill up
your memory with the Summary database. You can then "Prune the Database"
and recover perhaps half (in most cases) of the memory Summary is using
for it's database. You will lose some of the detailed information about
things which are happening very infrequently, which generally is not a
problem.

Dr. Seuss books . . . can be read and enjoyed on several levels. For
example, 'One Fish Two Fish, Red Fish Blue Fish' can be deconstructed as a
searing indictment of the narrow-minded binary counting system.
