It sounds like you are exceeding some system resource, possibly running out of physical RAM, but it could be any of several other things. To debug this you should try running only a single copy of Summary, and see if that has any problems. If one copy at a time still has problems then it is something else, perhaps a bug. But if one copy works, then you can add copies one at a time till you start having problems and then check to see if you are out of RAM, out of open file handles, or some other system resource. > On a side note, are the reverse-IP resolution performance issues fixed >on Sun? So it should have been about the same speed on Sun as it is on Linux. You might have had some other difference between the machines. Having the machine configured to use a different DNS server could make a big difference.
