[Summary-Talk] Problems Restarting Summary

We're running the latest Summary on OS X, not the command line 
version but the GUI one.  Sometimes it just stops responding, but 
doesn't crash, in which case I need to restart it.  However, quitting 
then rerunning the process results in the following error:

	Unable to open port XXXX for serving reports!

Any idea why this may be, and how to resolve without rebooting the 
entire machine?
