[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index] [Summary-Talk] SFTP connection on root account (with Mac OS X)
Hi
I use Summary (2.5.2) with Max OS X (10.3.5) in command line mode.
I want use sftp to download my logs files.
I have created the RSA keys (without password) on 'admin' account. I
get in the ~/.ssh/ folder the files id_rsa (private key) and id_rsa.pub
(public key). I make a connection to the server to create the file
'know hosts'. All works fine : i can make a connection with ssh without
password.
I launch summary in the command line and the sftp connection download
the logs files from the server.
But I am not on root and Summary cannot get the port 80.
To get the port 80, i must launch summary.app with a 'sudo'.
Therefor, i must install the keys files in /var/root/.ssh/ (the folder
.ssh in the home of root account).
I switch in root (with "sudo su -l") and i test a ssh connection. It's
ok (without password).
But when i launch summary from 'admin' account with "sudo
./summary.app" or on root account with "sudo su -l" and "./summary.app"
summary cannot make the sftp connection and i get this error in the
summary log file : "Permission denied
(gssapi,publickey,keyboard-interactive)". The ssh connection cannot be
opened.
Why ? i can make this from my terminal window but summary cannot.
It is not possible to get more information because i cannot make a
verbose mode on the ssh connection made by summary. I think that it can
be a environment variable issue but i'm not sure.
Have you an idea ?
Thank you for your help
