Hi Jason I am getting back to you, since all we are doing is not giving us the expected resulsts. Here are some lines of the Log Files in the web interface: 1,650 11 0 380.0K Oct 26, 2004 01:01am Oct 27, 2004 12:51am computeroil / computeroil.log_2004Oct27.gz 1,081 11 0 250.0K Oct 27, 2004 01:02am Oct 28, 2004 12:56am computeroil / computeroil.log_2004Oct28.gz 1,005 11 0 210.0K Oct 28, 2004 01:00am Oct 29, 2004 12:42am computeroil / computeroil.log_2004Oct29.gz 0 81 0 8.5K Unknown Unknown computeroil / computeroil.log_2004Oct31.gz 0 0 0 0.0K Unknown Unknown computeroil / computeroil.log_2004Oct30.gz 0 0 0 0.0K Unknown Unknown computeroil / computeroil.log_2004Nov4.gz 0 0 0 0.0K Unknown Unknown computeroil / computeroil.log_2004Nov3.gz As you can see, after a certain date (not always the same date), Summary can not read the files anymore. They are on the HardDisk and available for Summary to read, so downloading works. Any help very much appreciated, since customers noticing now that some dates are missing. Thank you. I also removed all the data files to make sure Summary does not keep any data around. Also, there is no permission problem at all, since we can download all the files just fine, but then processing does not work. Also, if I log in on the ftp site with the summary user, I can download all files. For me that seams like there is something wrong with summary and the processing. If I can help with anything let me know. Can't fix date on old copy of file.On >'ftp.computeroil.com/knecht-vision.log_2004Oct31.gz'. There is clearly something going wrong with the log downloading. That error message, "Can't fix date on old copy of file.", indicates that Summary gave up when downloading two log files because of internal errors. That error suggests that Summary downloaded some early version of the log, but is failing to download more recent additions to the log file. I have been looking into what could cause that error, and I have come up with two possibilities. If Summary is getting run as two different users at different times, that could create permissions problems, which could cause this error. You should double check that all of the log files are owned by the user Summary is running as and have similar permissions. The other possibility is that there might be a bug in Summary related to the recent switch in daylight savings time. In this case the problem should clear up the next time your logs are rotated if you manually delete the log files that are affected. That will cause Summary to re-download the affected logs, and new logs which are not created near to the time change should not be affected. This seems the more likely possibility, even though I have been unable to recreate this problem here as of yet.
