See <http://summary.net/manual/glossary.html#avg-view-time>.

Summary only records durations for pages that are not the last page in a
visit. If the user leaves the site after seeing some page, we have no way
of knowing how long they looked at that page, so no duration is recorded.
The same thing applies to visit durations, the time from the first
request to the last, so no time counted for time spent reading the last
page (which we can't know).

Dr. Seuss books . . . can be read and enjoyed on several levels. For
example, 'One Fish Two Fish, Red Fish Blue Fish' can be deconstructed
as a searing indictment of the narrow-minded binary counting system.
