RE: [Summary-Talk] Visits with session cookies

Unfortunately that's my case... I have
ASPSESSIONDXXXZZZZYYYY=AAAABBBCCCDDD
, is there any plan to support this type of token ?, is there any other
way
to know for sure the amounts of visits not contaminated by proxies,
firewalls , etc.. ?

Regards, Pablo

Normally yes, if you have Summary SP Lite or SP and your server is
configured to log the cookie information. You turn on "Use session IDs to
determine visits", on the Options configuration page, and set "Cookie
token to use as session ID", on the Details configuration page, to
"ASPSESSIONID".

However, newer releases of IIS sometimes call the cookie something other
than "ASPSESSIONID", often adding varying characters to the end of the
cookie name. If the cookie name remains consistant you are all set, but
if it varies over time it won't work. Summary doesn't support session ID
cookies with varying cookie names.

searing indictment of the narrow-minded binary counting system.
