I don't think that it will specifically solve your problem, but it is always best to have the most recent version, just in case, before spending too much time tracking down a problem. >I used the following: > >Group: > /index.html?s=google >Ad: > /index.html?s=google >Goal: > /index.html?s=google You should check your Content reports and make sure that requests that look like that appear in the reports. The pattern you enter for Group, Ad, and Goal, are matched against the strings that appear in the Content reports, if they aren't in the Content reports, then they won't work as Groups, Ads, or Goals. >In Miscellaneous: >User log format is: HOST SKIP USER DATE-CLF >domain FULL-REQUEST STATUS BYTES IF-EOL REFERER >AGENT EOL > >If I check the log files for that domain, I can see requests which look >like: >SomeDomain.com - - [01/Nov/2004:06:09:46 -0700] >"GET /index.html?s=google HTTP/1.1" 200 13229 >"http://web.ask.co.uk/redir?bpg=http%3a%2f%2fweb.ask.co.uk%2fuk%3fq%3dHOW%2 > . . . >BAAA%26num%3d3!& >qte=0&o=0&rb=1&di=http%253a%252f%252fwww.key-strategy.com%252f" >"Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT >5.1; SV1)" That log entry does not match that log format. This is an NCSA Combined log line, it doesn't have the "domain" field specified in that log format. The log entry should be read by Summary anyway, since the user log format doesn't match, Summary will try it's built-in formats, which will work. >In overall options (so not domain-specific ones), I have: >Include query string in requests: › (on) Given that this setting is on, the log entry above should result in a request for "/index.html?s=google", which should match your Group, Ad, and Goal patterns above. >What am I doing wrong here? Any ideas? I can >send over a full configuration file if that will help. I don't see anything that would be causing your problem in what you sent. Perhaps you should send your configuration file to me directly at <jason@summary.net>, so I can take a look at it. Good Luck Jason ----------------- Jason@Summary.Net ----------------- Dr. Seuss books . . . can be read and enjoyed on several levels. For example, 'One Fish Two Fish, Red Fish Blue Fish' can be deconstructed as a searing indictment of the narrow-minded binary counting system. -- Peter van der Linden, Expert C Programming, Deep C Secrets ------------- Go to <http://summary.net/list.html> to update subscription info.
