[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index] [Summary-Talk] Best way to get directory totals?
Hi, We're a pretty new user of Summary (SP, v2.5.2) and one of my customers wants to know how to easily get a total of hits/page views for a given directory. For example, he wants to find out the total number of hits for /somedir/somesubdir/foo/*. From the looks of it, he can do this by pulling down the report as a spreadsheet with just the target directory as the sole search term for a report, and then do my own summing in the relevant column(s). However, it seems like a lot of extra effort just to get cumulative data for a given directory. I looked through the manual and didn't see anything illustrating how to do this, but thought maybe the use of a Content Group in the sub-report might do it. But that sort of limits us to a few totals (due to the limited number of content groups per report). Am I missing something? --rc -- *========================================* Rick Crelia - rick.crelia@oregonstate.edu OSU Libraries - Dept of Library Technology Corvallis, OR 97331 - 541.737.8972 ------------- Go to <http://summary.net/list.html> to update subscription info.
