>>We plan to migrate our summary server from Linux RedHat 9 to Fedora Core 3. >>I try to launch our Summary 2.3.14 on that platform and I get a 'nice' >>Segmentation fault. It turns out that Summary 2.5.3 and 2.3.14 are incompatible with very new versions of Linux. There have been minor changes in some of the Linux libraries which are causing problems for existing releases of Summary. I have built a beta version with a fix for these issues, which you can download from <http://summary.net/download/sum-x86.2.5.4b2.tgz>. This beta version also has some other unrelated changes, incomplete versions of some 2.5.4 features, but they shouldn't get in your way. Could you try our this beta on your system and tell me if it solves your problem? If it does I will build a release version of 2.3 with the necessary changes. Good Luck Jason -- Jason@Summary.Net -- Dr. Seuss books . . . can be read and enjoyed on several levels. For example, 'One Fish Two Fish, Red Fish Blue Fish' can be deconstructed as a searing indictment of the narrow-minded binary counting system. -- Peter van der Linden, Expert C Programming, Deep C Secrets ------------- Go to <http://summary.net/list.html> to update subscription info.
