Tried to restore the backup database, but summary prompts me for a registration code, stating that the free demo code expired 24 days ago, so i don't think it loads the old database, so i put in my paid registration code to get by that window and then have to process summary, but still summary can only read off the access_log when processing and that only has the 7 days worth. Is there a way around getting summary to accept a past 30 day free demo code to get at the old database restoring? >Webit wrote: > > I updated to panther 10.3.5 and unfortunately it cleaned my logfile >> after 7 days > >It is possible that your log files are still there somewhere, just under >a different name. I wonder if my Alexa rank will be effected by this , I mean if my logs show now 100,000 hits instead of 2 million lets say, i may drop fast in the ranks > >> Now summary only has 7 days worth of logs to read from, my 3 years is >> gone I do have an old data file of summary2.5.2 prior to upgrading to >> summary plus2.5.3 >> If i load that old data file into the newer summary2.5.3 would i be >> able to get back my old stored log hits? > >If you have been using incremental mode then you can restore a backup >made by the old version of Summary and get your data back. > >If you have not been using incremental mode then you can load a backup >from the old version of Summary and see the old results, but they will >go away again as soon as you process any new logs. > >Jason > >-- >Jason@Summary.Net >-- >Dr. Seuss books . . . can be read and enjoyed on several levels.
