This looks like you a scheduled task (also called a chron job in Linux/Unix) that is moving your logs files. You don't say what operating system you are running, but check task log in Windows(SchedLgU.txt, found by browsing the Control Panel Scheduled Task applet) or in your /var/cron/tabs file in Linux or OS-X. -----Original Message----- From: owner-summary-talk@lists.summary.net [mailto:owner-summary-talk@lists.summary.net] On Behalf Of chris.balay@gawpus.com Sent: Sunday, May 01, 2005 1:16 PM To: summary-talk@lists.summary.net Subject: [Summary-Talk] Log files truncating Good Day - I know that this is not really related to summary, but I am at a loss. I moved my website to a new server running Apache 1.3.33. Apache is only logging 2 weeks worth of entries. I have looked for log rotate commands in the httpd.conf file, and found nothing. in the logs directory are : -rw-r----- 1 root admin 2573719 1 May 13:14 access_log -rw-r----- 1 root admin 1150290 30 Apr 04:31 access_log.0.gz -rw-r----- 1 root admin 239405 1 May 12:59 error_log -rw-r----- 1 root admin 63667 30 Apr 04:29 error_log.0.gz I have looked every where I can think of. Any ideas? Any pointers would be greatly appreciated. Yours, Chris Balay ------------- Go to <http://summary.net/list.html> to update subscription info.
