Yes, what you want to do is possible. You didn't say how you setup the 
sub-reports, so I can't say what you might have done wrong. I suggest 
you take a look at method four for setting up sub-reports in the manual, 
<http://summary.net/manual/virtualdomains.html#method4>, and follow the 
directions there.
