If you prefer to keep your application folder uncluttered from data files (as much as possible), create a folder in your directory structure where you normally keep all your data files. You can call this "Summary logs" e.g., then put your log files in there. In the "Logs" folder in the Summary application folder hierarchy, create an alias to this folder "Summary logs" that you created before. That's it. I even have nested folders in my Summary logs folder, for multiple sites that I manage. In that case create aliases to each of the nested folders in "Summary logs". I do it that way because I back up all my data files at a different frequency than my application folder...
