[Summary-Talk] Beta serial number

I downloaded the 2.6b4 beta and installed it on my machine, using my
real registration code rather than the beta test registration code. The
beta seemed happy.

     But if I set up Summary with a name and password, it accepts
whatever I type -- but then will not accept _anything_ I type when I try
to go back and configure it. In other words, the setup accepts the name
and password; configuration rejects everything if any name or password
were used during setup.

     I have managed to get the beta to work by entering _no_ name and
password at all. At that point, the beta is functional. But it obviously
is less secure, and it also allows me to accidentally do stupid things.

     Admittedly, I have not tried the beta registration code. The
instructions say I don't have to, so I haven't.
