I have tested the name/password settings in 2.6 quite a bit without
running into any trouble. Could you look in your configuration file,
summary.conf in Summary's Config folder, and see if the values you
entered appear after AuthName: and AuthPass: in the configuration file?
You can also try entering whatever appears for those to settings in the
configuration file as the name and password in the browser.

Remember that capitalization and white space are significant.

Which registration code you are using shouldn't make any difference.
