Groups are not available in Summary (basic). Summary Plus supports up to
six groups. Summary SP Lite and SP support up to twelve groups (in
version 2.6 beta, six in older versions).

Groups are defined on the sub-report Groups/Value configuration page. Go
to the main configuration page. If you have sub-reports select a
sub-report to edit the settings on. Look for the "Groups/Values" link on
the list of configuration pages (for that sub-report).
