[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index] Re: [Summary-Talk] Changing numbers
There are several things that can change the number of page hits
reported between processing runs.
1) Which log files are being processed
2) Any setting on the Filtering configuration page
3) Date ranges (unlikely in this case)
4) The setting of "Page file name extensions", on the Request Types
configuration page.
5) If you are using sub-reports, the settings for "Domains to include in
this Sub-report" and "Requests to include in this Sub-report".
If you have "Ignore known and likely robots" turned on, the numbers can
change between different releases of Summary, since we keep refining the
robot filtering.
My guess would be #4, that you added a file type to the list at some point.
Summary Plus, SP Lite, and SP keep backups of old configuration files in
Summary's Data folder. You could try comparing an old configuration file
with a new one to double check if you made any configuration changes.

Dr. Seuss books . . . can be read and enjoyed on several levels. For
example, 'One Fish Two Fish, Red Fish Blue Fish' can be deconstructed
as a searing indictment of the narrow-minded binary counting system.
