Yes, we have completely changed the architecture on the Macintosh
version. Summary now follows Apple guidelines for OS X native
applications, with a GUI shell program and a background task. However it
is still compatible with both the old GUI and command line usage with
only very minor changes. The big change is that OS X is required, OS 8
and 9 are no longer supported.

You can run Summary in three different ways:

1) Double click the "Summary" application icon. A console window will
appear and everything works very similarly to the old Macintosh OS 8, 9,
and OS X version.

2) Run "summary-cli" from the command line. Usage is the same as for the
old command line version, except you use "summary-cli" instead of
"summary.app".

3) Install Summary to start automatically whenever the machine reboots.
This is not fully documented yet, coming soon. Basically, you run
Summary at least once by double clicking the "Summary" application, then
quit Summary, then double click the "Install Summary Service.command"
script in the SummaryService folder inside the extras folder. After that
Summary will run in the background at all times and the "Summary"
application can be used to monitor it's log.

Dr. Seuss books . . . can be read and enjoyed on several levels. For
example, 'One Fish Two Fish, Red Fish Blue Fish' can be deconstructed
as a searing indictment of the narrow-minded binary counting system.
