[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index] [Summary-Talk] Failed requests report
I'm finding a huge amount of failed requests for files we don't have
anywhere on one of our client's sites - i.e., we don't link to them at
all.
/favicon.ico is the big winner there. We don't have a favicon for the
particular client, so we get a ton of errors there. Can we filter them
out?
And I don't know why we're seeing large error numbers for these
non-existent (and non-referenced) files ("myfolder0x" used in place of
the actual folder name here):
/myfolder01/images/spacer.gif
/myfolder02/images/spacer.gif
/myfolder03/images/spacer.gif
or these two jewels which seem particularly odd, given this is a Mac
server:
/_vti_bin/owssvr.dll
/msoffice/cltreq.asp
Help me in my ignorance - why are we seeing these counted as errors
when they appear nowhere on our site (I did global searches for all to
see if they were linked anywhere)?
The client is really bugged about the high percentage of errors showing
on the report.
Thanks,
Jeff Whitmill
