[Summary-Talk] OT: Use Applescript to Gzip logs?

Is there anyone tracking this list that uses AppleScript to gZip
archived daily logs?

We have a ton of domains; I thought I could whip up an AppleScript that
would automate the compression, but it's been a few years since I did
any scripting, and scripts in OS X don't always behave the way they did
in earlier systems.

Would appreciate any leads, pointers.
