[Summary-Talk] News update - Intel Macs

We recently completed testing Summary on the Intel Macs. Summary is not
yet native on the Intel Macs, but everything is working very well
emulated under Rosetta. The speed of log processing is more than half of
what I would expect for a fully native version, way to go Apple!

We hope to have a fully native version of Summary for the Intel Macs in
the next few months. In the meantime the existing version should work
quite well for all but the very largest log files (hundreds of Gigs) and
even then Summary will still be usable.

On another note, we have been having some problems with our e-mail
server. The Summary-Talk list was down for the last 28 hours, and as you
might have noticed there were some problems when it came back up today.
Hopefully that is all resolved now. If you sent us an e-mail in the last
28 hours and haven't gotten a response please try sending it again.

Dr. Seuss books . . . can be read and enjoyed on several levels. For
example, 'One Fish Two Fish, Red Fish Blue Fish' can be deconstructed
as a searing indictment of the narrow-minded binary counting system.
