Please note that this list blocks attachments.
Recent versions of Summary can do hundreds of DNS lookups per second on
a fast connection with a responsive DNS server. Going quickly doesn't
really prove anything unless you are familiar with how fast it runs on
your configuration and nothing else has changed since the last time you
noted the speed of DNS lookups.
Assuming all of the DNS lookups Summary is doing are failing, then the
problem is probably with your DNS server or your system configuration.
Summary gets the DNS server IP address from the system configuration and
then does the DNS lookups it's self. If the system does not have a
properly configured DNS server then all of the lookups will fail.
Lookups will also fail if your Internet connection is down, or a
firewall is preventing Summary from accessing the DNS server, or if the
DNS server is down.
A good quick sanity check is to make sure that the machine Summary is
running on can access the Internet through a web browser. If not, DNS
lookups will fail. After that I would check for firewall software that
might be blocking Summary.

Dr. Seuss books . . . can be read and enjoyed on several levels. For
example, 'One Fish Two Fish, Red Fish Blue Fish' can be deconstructed
as a searing indictment of the narrow-minded binary counting system.
