[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index] Re: [Summary-Talk] Adding "Visits" To Directories Report
Since web masters can organize their directory structure in any way they want, there is obviously more than one way you might want it to work. However, directory structures are designed to be hierarchically organized, which to me implies a particular relationship. For example, if my visitor accessed /patio/outdoor-kitchen/grills/gas/safety.html I feel that it would be reasonable to say that they had visited my outdoor-kitchen section (as well as patio, grills, etc). Of course not everyone organizes their web site in this fashion. For example, 'One Fish Two Fish, Red Fish Blue Fish' can be deconstructed as a searing indictment of the narrow-minded binary counting system. -- Peter van der Linden, Expert C Programming, Deep C Secrets ------------- Go to <http://summary.net/list.html> to update subscription info.
